Our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree

Don't ya think they look about the same? Ha Ha! We love our Christmas tree! Our awesome friends cut it down for us when they got their normal sized tree. It's particularly exciting for me because it's my first real Christmas tree! Here's some step by step shots of us putting up our first Christmas tree. Putting rocks (that we "borrowed" from campus) into the can to hold the tree up.

Ok I forgot to take pictures of putting on the ornaments, but here's our cute (aka ghetto) star that I made:

And here's the finished product with us:

AH, the first Christmas tree. When we were newly married we'd have to wait until Christmas Eve to get a tree. If they hadn't been bought by then, the vendors were usually giving them away. It is a tradition that stuck so now we do it every year. One year we got a $200 tree for $20. Good deals and fun traditions.

When you're in college a small Christmas tree is about right considering how many presents you have to put under it. Wouldn't want to get ahead of yourselves. It's only small and simple in the beginning. Enjoy it while it lasts.
